Tommy greeted me excitedly again this morning with more news. He and Williamson are off to the Gulf! They have asked for two more officers + those 2 are going.
At 11.0 we had a boand??? on the death of one guiy??? mulers. Frankau, Higde + myself were the members. The mule died through picking up shale or sand with his food! Frankau has been looking after them while I have been on Musketry. This mule got ill on Friday + died on Friday night about 10/30.
Vesta + I went up to Tea with the C.O. this afternoon. while we were there a Telegram came ordering Williamson + Haupsim to report at Karachi on Thursday! So they will have to leave tomorrow.. What we might call short notice!
Williamson came up while we were there + I arranged to take ver??? his Piano. He also sold his Motor Bike for 475 chips, to slack.
When we went down to Mess in the evening Tommy passed us on the way up from a Football Match. He had just heard about 2 mins before that he had to go off tomorrow.
We both gave him a hand at packing up after Mess.
