Thank you both very much for your letters of June 22nd which arrived last Saturday - nearly a week late! Still, I was better off thank you as you didn't get one at all!
So Ted has "gone over". No doubt Ernie??? will be sad.
I haven't heard from Mellie?? for sometime. I expect she is too busy on her exams. I hope she will get through safely. It doesn't seem like 12 months since she went to the hospital does it?
I am glad to hear Grandpa is well I wonder if he has gone back to Devon?? yet?
I am sorry to hear your eyes are not well Mother. You must look after them. I am not sure if I have stopped growing yet Mother. If I grow any more you'll have to look up so far that you'll want good eyes to be able to see me Mother???
I was surprised to hear about Fr. Menzies.?? he is a "sport" to join up like that. By the way, have you seen that Padre Sponne?? is mentioned in dispatches again. We are trying to get a choir going here for the Parade Services. I don't know if we shall succeed. I have undertaken to be O.C. the Musical Dept.
