Lamont is not in the M.G. section Mother. He is at present the only officer who has done a M.G. course- Noah is away at Changle Gadi doing me- but he is with a company club. I have the M.G. all to myself. My sergeant takes charge when am away. My official title is Regeneral Machine Gun officer though as a result of the ??Pachimali?? course I hold a qualified Institute Certificate.

We are all very pleasant with the new mess arrangements. Every officer now contributes towards the General systems in proportion to the pay with retrospective effect. Though I don't know how far. This is much fairer.
