Send Valley Kashnur???

My dear Mother + Father.
I have no letter to answer yet, though I expect one tonight when our cooly arrives.
We are at present in "shekar." We have pitched a tent +ent??? in the wilds, miles away from anywhere. The nearest place (if you can call that "anywhere") is Srenaga, which is a 23 1/2 mile jaunt so we are rather fervently hoping we shan't get recalled, as that would mean a nasty rush.
We have hined??? a couple of ryles??? from Srenaga and are trying to shoot a bear each. Whether or no we shall be successful remains to be seen. We saw one last night but although Lamment got a shot in I don't think he did more than make a hole in the unfortunate animals' ear.
The spot we are in is a broad valley with the Suid Rever flowing through the saute????. The valley is about a mile accross, it is fairly is??? rodd??? and under me of the totrs??? is dertant???. The hills in the legobank??? are not very high. About 1000 ft. (The valley itself is 5000 ft up). As the Regat the hills are higher and in contrast to those on the left which arre thickly wooded and only dotted with trees. In one or two is the hills are streaks, big streaks of snow which is gradually wetting, but down in the valley it is quite hot by day. Such briefly is the spot we are living in.
As to Cooking. That is done by my bearer. The daily diet is an alternative brtiseln???? iluitan??? +chicken. Chickens are so toif??? each. Tough, but still-chickens. Just??? in is 3d W
