At first the canal passed between fwall tulds + orchards, then a mile from the gate came the village of Rewari. There is a busy landing place here at which most of the produce of the lake is sold. Passing ?? a picturesque wooden image followed by a ??? me we reached a young lakelet. Young ??in?? through canalas we reached the lake aqnd went straight to the Shaliman Bagh. This was reached by another canal about a mile in length. The last part had so little ??walk?? in it that we had to walk. The Shali Bagh as they call it is a large walled ???enclosure?? at the foot of the hills which about encircle the lake. There are four ?? planned ?? orchard + ??? and an avenue borders the long live of tanks down the middle. There are one or two buildings in the garden which did not ?? nearly as much as the flowers which were very ??fine??. Mostly the same varieties as we get in England- Cheaper than ???? only the sum ??? greater size and perfection.

After looking at the Shaliman we went (by boat) to the Nashat Bagh, passing under a weird stinebridge across which I should think a ??home?? could scarcely be taken. She
