Medow's?? hotel for Tea. This is the best hotel
I have seen?? in India I think. It actually has
some really good public rooms more in the style
of hotels in Blightey??.
The cheif thing for which we had gone shopping
was newspapers. Since we were in Muooce?? we
hadn't had a paper, so we collected the Curl??
and Milirony Gazettes of June, 6.7.809 and found
that while we had been out of the world?? things
had happening with a revrace?? A naval victory and
a naval disaster had ruchenes?? drank and be??
push by the Russians. As far as I can make out
from the report of the naval actions, the German
flu seems to have come out in recent?? and we seem
then to have made a dive at it. I bathe?? crusers
seem to have butted in fist?? and to have got
worked?? out (or 3 of them) before the rest had
had time to help them out. When the rest did
amue?? the Germans apparently decided that
whatever they had come out to do could wait for a
day or two and went to think it over, getting a
bit knocked about in the process. The net result
seems to be that we lost 14 units. The Germans
lost 18 and they gave up their plans. The loss of
18 units with others out of action for a bit
should make for more difference to their navy
than to us, and I don't suppose we shall see them
again for a day or two.
