it was sheer joy to get another chance, even with a "Kutcha Paw". I persuaded Lammit to have a go at it an as ge has never punted in his life before I had some fun.

Tuesday June 6th,

Tied up all day at ??job??. Lammit went a fishing in the morning and coaught - nothing. Then went again in the evening and caught - nothing! We had another in the evening. The stream was a bit by ?????? he and I enjoyed it. The rest of the day was spent in writing mail, reading and slacking.

The scenery at present is much like the ? folk boards except that the ? waterway is worn? These are the same low banks and streching fields low lying ans washly.

The climax is in the warm ? to warm or muddy to be comfortable.

Wednesday June 7th

Moved in today across the water Lake. This is a shallow lake with all defined shores. It is siad to be 15 miles across in summer. It is labeled by the guide as a "pestilent and mosquito ridden swamp." There is a canal which cuts off a lot of it but we couldn't take it as ? was not enough water in it. Instead of this Shadipur Canal we took the ?Madwa? canal that
