had completed the exchange the dark touga??? came up + in it as passenger are Major Roe of the 1/5th E. Sumap whom we had met at Dinner last night + Breakfast this morning. We didn't say anything to him about the pinics??? we were leaving behind, but were surprised when we were about 1/4 mile down the road to see the porry??? start without any turns??? +gradually proceed to catch us up! The road went on and reformed the rived again and just on an almept??? turn where the road was cut out of the face of the rock with theruie??? 1000ft below we saw the parry??? get + all had go over the Khud???. Then they couldn't get him to start. And about 2 miles ahead after a long bend in the road we could look across + saw them just start.

The scenery till leri??? where we had lunch at 12.0. was very grands and bold. There are lofty precipices in each side of the river. The road has to cross several narrow gorges, and for a considerable part of the way is just cut out of the solid rock with huge cliffs above + sloping sheer down to the river below. In heavy rain they get landslips + othe??? uncomfortable things bar???. The whole scenery is very bold + grand.

At Mri we had lunch and then had a siesta till 2.0 when we jogged on again.

After leaving the Dark Bungalow the road goes a long way up the valley of the Punch + back the other side = for the sake of the gradient. Then the Thelium valley cuts aces??? again and the road mer??? more is out of the solid rrack???, but not for long. The hills soon recide and more gentle slopes prevail.
