make sure that the Torga??? we ordered yesterday was under weigh. We walked down to SUnnyback again and about 9/45 the Torrga??? lined up. It is a beastly uncomfortable affair boasting two whils?? + two horses but no room for long legs. The ponies are changed every six miles like the old English Stage Coach. It had never struck me before what the "Stage Coach" got its name from but when we finds the Viashmir Road chopped into stages, fresh ponies at each stage, the it dawned on me.
We got moving at 10.0 + moved pretty rapidly down the 30 miles descent from Sunnybank to Kohala doing it in just over 3 hours. Kohala is only 2,050 feet against Sunnybans 6,000 + not unnaturally it got hotter + hotter. We were very glad of the Punkahs in the Dark Bungalow at Kohala while we had diffin?? Parts of the road down were very pretty + there was one very curious phenomenon which both Lamant + I noticed, so it couldn't have been anything I had for Breakfast and that was that, particularly when going round Corners the hills we was looking at seemed to move rapidly towards us! and then as rapidly away from us. It really was uncanny + I can't quite explain it but it happened for the whole g that 3amilis??? to Kohala though I did notice it elsewhere.
