Discovered a site for a miniature Range this morning. Weng to G.D. in the afternoon primarily to identify a box as Hickling's . I was able to do it by some photos in it. Somerwell promised me the melancholy gob of being on the Committee of Adjustment if there has to be one. After mess Tea at the Mess I dragged Willi Anison down to the auspices & got him to inspect the spot where I propose to put the 304??? do??? Range. As S.S.O & Clerk to cCmp armament Magistrate (the C.O.) he passed it so we can get a move on now.
Saturday April 29th
Rain galore this morning which mucked up programmes considerable.
Rode to Deniga??? Gate with Williamson in the afternoon. We got all but to the top of it. i.e. about 2.400 feet. The view was disappointing as there was a lot of mist about. The last 100 yards of path was quite interesting as it was along the face of the hill. about 2 foot wide and with a nice little drop straight below.
