boxes of ball??? for the north?? Punjabis. The loading of this delayed us so much that we had to wait for the 9.20 up. We, got after immediately after that, just ahead of the mail & consequently had a fast run to attack where we were hung up to let her pass. After she was clear we jogged on to Cambelpas?? where we stopped for lunch. We were to have stayed 2 1/4 hrs there but we managed to cut some of it & so started only about ???? late which we made up before our next stop where we got Tea.
We got back to Pundi?? about 4/30. It was quite homelike. We found 100 of the Garrison?? Bath? of the Northumberland Fusiliers???? in possession. There were the advance party of a bartu?? at Sialtol??? & rae going up to on of the Galis???. They are a wierd lot. Several of them are men who have been gassed the rest are special Reservists who have done very little soldiering.
We soon got settled practically in the same tents as we were in before.
Wednesday April 12th
Our advance party consisting of 'A' Gp.? & two platoons of "B" gy? left this morning, consquarly??? mime??? early rising. Reveille was at 4.0?? and they were supposed to have moved at 7.0.
