Tuesday March 28.
Had a "Dinner Out scheme today. We did the usual sort of show with the Battalion acting as an adv. Gd. and moved to a village called Walai. When we got there we had Tiffin??? while the men had dinners. There is quite an oasis there - a young orchard, a small stream which accounts for the greenness of the trees which grow there. Quite a pretty little place. After dinner we moved home again. The G.O.C. Inspection is coming off! - !
Wednesday March 29.
Parade at 7:45. At the last minute last night orders were altered and Machime??? Gumers??? had a parade as such. So this morning found us as slow wrok??? as mules - everything all complete.
The Division (on the pat??? git???) was in position in line about 8:30. We have stretches about 1 1/2 miles. There was 2 infantry brigades, a cavalry brigade, a brigade y??? R.F.??? several mountain baitery???, an ammunition column a supply column as Ra??? - quite a good show.
