Monday March 13th
Had Reverlle at 5.0 today and got on the road by 7.15 which is a saving of 3/4hr over our previous time. Marched another 8 miles to day - to 239. The first part of the march was quite pretty as we fortuved??? the valley of the Kabul River. Consequently things were more or less green.
We were in camp by 10.30 to day and were soon settle. Everything is going much more rapidly now.
Tuesday march 14th
Hast hap of 10 miles to day. We got moving in two hours from Reverlle this morning. I believe we could do it in an hour and a half now.
I dont think much of Navshira. The Cantomuint??? is built on both sides of the Grand Trunk. Road which just here is absolutely dead straight for about 14 miles. The Containuint?? stretches for 3. We had to march right through the thing and eventually turned off along a dusty road through the bazaar and got to our camp. We was "played out" by the Band of the Durham hight Infanty. The Kents aursebues??? + the 5th Easts are all in our big camp side by side. The D. h.1 are in barracks quite close. The caiernt??? ralian??? here seems to be for show purfaoses???. Apparently there are morre troops here than ever in Nresheves??? history before.
