Thursday March 9th 1916 continues ]
Four of our officers - Beach, thewled, Tupper, & Frankau??? went over to Meos??? with them uor??? he whing???. They caunnented??? our nei??? marching in + said we looked just like Regulars We've thought so ourselves for some time but it is nice when a Regular officer tells aie??? so.
We settled into camp much quicker to day., naturally. Probably tomorrow it will be more rapid still
Friday march 10th
Got as far as tlatti??? to day. We are not at nule??? storre??? 212. 4. so we have done 1+1 from Pindi. TOdays march was only 12 13 miles. We got off at 7.0 and all went well until we had a leud??? crossing. Then we had to wait 20 minutes for a train to go through. Then we jagged in again until we came to the Hare Bridge Railway. The metals are laid in the same way as they are at level Crossing and we walked along the Railway. Of course a Battahim with its transport (we've got 90 camels, 50 Pack mules and 20 mule carts) takes some time to pass a given spot. The result was that we was halted for 1 1/2 hours while a varied succession of goods passing us + amis??? crossed without there teing??? a long hinigh interval between them
