It was a beastly night and it seemed to be patronised chiefly by the battalion but the hall was comfortably full. It was a very good concert. The band was excellent. The one weak item was no. 12 when ???Pto took tried to sing a song he didn't know. The rest was very good.
Saturday, Feb 26th.
Had the use of Srafford Range today and had a fine classification of 5 men. It was a perfectly beastly process. It drizzled the whole ti,e. There was an objectionably cold wind and observation of five was absolutely impossible. Considering all things the ??? - though very mediocre, were jolly creditable.
Sunday, Feb 27th
Orderly Dog today, so it was an unexciting day. Had to men off Church Parade - both non conformists, who like to go to the C of E service to march behind the band! - to fill belts for field training tomorrow.
