went round to the C.O. at 9.0 this morning & asked about Ch. Parade. Got off. SO we got in an hour's gun drill & then as it started to rain we had to confine our energies to belt filling.
Went to tea with Mrs. C.O. this aft. There were quite a crowd of us there. I was roped in to thum the Piano. As I haven't touched one for some time I quite enjoyed it. We left about 7/30.
Mon Feb 14
Fired ball?? with the guns in a ???? mullah today. It was just as well that we did as we had trouble with both guns. Got them going quite nicely eventually.
Had a short parade in the afternoon & then tennis with the Major & Mrs. Hewlet & Miss C.O. with tea to follow.
Tuesday Feb 15
Well it's over! We arrived about 9.45 & the General was on time. The Staffords went up the Ridge first and showed how things should be done & then we went along & showed how it might be done
