Fix a screw to the screwed head at A (1/8")
Cut a slot in cotter at B. Bore a hole through connecting rod to allow screw to pass through, so as to engage in the slot in the cotter when the Lock is inserted in the gun.

A Rotten day! We had a G.O.C.'s Inspn. at 10.0 and the Battn. paraded for it at 9.15. I had all my sowrk cut out to get my mules and section "on" to time though we did just manage it. I had some excitement with my pony when we practiced the Manual Salute he did not seem to appreciate my drawn sword. He continued to fidget till the G.O.C. arrived.
