Started firing my course on the range to-day. Only the preliminary. Am improving on last year.
I put on 14/20 at the 300 and 24/32 ar the 500 with a rifle I had never had in my hands before.

Had a visit from a lady at the S.S. Office today. She was a Mrs. Bartlett who called for a trifle of Rs 290 owed her by the DDO. I paid it over in my best cashier style!
Range 10.30 - 2.0. Put on 19/28 and then on the start of the classification 4" group. Not much wrong with that.
Spent most of the time after Tea squaring up my somewhat complicated December accounts.
Had an event in mess tonight. The Mater sent out a couple of Christmas Puddings + as I notice that 5 people were dining out I arranged for them to be brought on tonight. Inadvertently it is Twelfth Night which is a lucky chance. The puddings were jolly good. They can't make them out here. Everyone seemed to enjoy them.

Rode down to the range this morning by way of a chance. I found riding in slacks none too comfortable. They tend to work up & show one's bare legs!
