Jove! It doesn't seem as if we have been up here a month. Time shifts.
M.G. to-day much as yesterday.
Lesle??? got an interesting wire today. "Will you volunteer for Expeditionary Force 'D'?" He has said "As you like." I rather agree with his decision. It isn't a very desirable spot.
I am wondering whether they are sending out drafts from all regiments again, or whether it is mostly that the 10th have to send another officer, as the man they sent - Hogben??? - has been killed in this last little show at Cresthon???. I wonder how Fisher??? got on & whether he was in it. Apparently there were about 2,500 casualties, which out of a division is heavy.
Wednesday Dec. 1.
M.G. much as usual i.e. the actual work. We had an exam on Mechanism & Description today. I got Headlam??? He asked me a couple of catch questions as well as several nasty fair ones. However I got through alright. Poor Rickell??? ploughed though.
Spent the afternoon in the Mess playing for Rickell Bawhay??? Mackay???
After Mess tonight we all went along to the Sergt's Mess & helped in a Concert. The Programmes were cycle???styled like the Summaries??? of the Lectures they give us & consequently
