Needless to say I did not get up very early today. I was the last at Breakfast as a matter of fact - though I finished by 10/30.
I finished off my Musketry Notes to-day and closed the book. Now for M.G. tomorrow!
Padre away today so the S.S.O. had to take the evening service.
Monday November 29th.
Started on the Gun @ 7/30 today. 7/30 means an extra half hour in bed - Cheeroh! We plunged right into things with a vengeance. We are working quite hard an Standard Tests. The Mk. IV Torpedos are a bit awkward to mount after I.P. Mk. II. But they are miles and miles better when they are up.
Jolly good lecture by Castle Smith in Elementary Training to day. I am beginning to find out how much I don't know, and am getting more and more lad that this coupe has come along now! Just when I most want it, in fear!
Lamont and I took on Lisle and Mitchell at Tennis tonight and lost 6-1 6-3 7-5. However they were jolly good games.
Evening was occupied in writing up notes.
The Mess Christmas Cards arrived today. They are jolly nice. I like my patent variety of the badge on the outside.
