Got my mail today. Quite a fat one, including the ?Taylorman? I see Frank Isaac was killed when helping some R.E. to put up entanglements. M.B. Spence & AJH Roe have gone as well as MB Lamber. Poor Dixon seems to have had a rough time. He lost an eye & his right hand is badly damaged as a result of his wounds. I am afraid that, in addition to his already groggy right arm, will make things bad for him. Poor chap! Stephens I see is apparently still in the land of the living & is now down as R.E. instead of H.A.C. I suppose he has got a commission. It also probably explains why I haven't heard from him.

Our instructor announced his intention of coming round from 2.30 - 4.30 today & he did. The result was that I had only time for a hasty finish to my home letter, I couldn't write any others. Did not get my notes up to date in the 3 hours from Tea to Mess but I don't expect there will be quite so much tomorrow.
