After Lunch we had a short sleep till Tea Time and then set out to explore the surrounding country a bit. Walked about five miles I should think.
We had to have dinner as we were as our kit has still not arrived. We have now moved from the Hotel to our quarters.
Tuesday Nov. 2.
Found Naima Khan ??? and the luggage metaphorically and actually waiting on the doorstep this morning. He apparently rolled in about 2 this morning. Had Breakfast about nine and after it climbed the hill at our back. It is only about 400 ft. to climb. When you are on top you are 3558' above the world which is about the same as Snowden. It is quite a pretty view from the top though one can't see very far there are too many hills round.
Several more "Musketeers" turned up today including Lisle of the 10th. We hope to be able to persuade another Johnny who has staked a claim in our "row of flats" to change, so that Lisle will be with us. There are five in this block. Lamont and I, two Hampshires and we hope - Lisle.
Lamont and I had a couple of sets at Tennis this afternoon. The courts are quite good. -Pucca not grass. We had brand new balls which made itjust a little difficult as in the hard court they bounce sky high. I won the first set 6 - 0 and then lost the next 6.3.
