Rode with Beach this morning. Went along the white Temple Road. It was infernally sweaty.
O.R. 8.30. Nothing frantically exciting. Took over S.S.O from Toovey about 11/0.
Tennis in afternoon. Played with Jackson v Beach & the Major and beat them.
A merry night in Mess, as it was Toovey's last. Saw him safely to his bungalow at 12.30 a.m. There were many officers who were decidedly merry.
Lamont arrived from Jalapahar @ 7.0 tonight.

Did not get up till 8.30 today. Practically kooch nay? in the O.R. Wrote vigorously in the aft.
Singles c. Beach in eve. 6-5 6-2 6-3. Lost the lot. Good games.

M.G. 6.30 after a ride. Tried to knock some of the rudiments of the art into Lamont's head.
O.R. 8.45. Finished about 12.0. Not very much doing which is just as well as one ??? is away on leave & the others in hospital.
Made my first attempt at Polo tonight. Got Williamson to come out & show me something about it. I discover that it needs knee grip more than
