again last night. Tues was Somervells birthday that was celebrated last night as it was Band Night. Hickling & Toovery were quite excited. So much so in fact that the Pader tried to tick Hickling off about it this morning. I can't say that he was successful.
Club in eve. Had my first game of Badminton for months. Jolly good game too.

Very few men available for duty -- as usual. One man of my platoon paid? the Crp? at 10/30?. With dear old Ouested at the helm it was 12.0 before we had finished.
Played 3 strenuous sets of tennis with Beach this aft. We had some quite good rallies. I lost all 3 sets but I improved. The sets were 6.0 6.3 6.5. I was absolutely wet through by the end of it.
Namma Khan has apparently got married tonight. There has been a sort of mystery about it. The rest of the establishment has persistently declared that he was being married to day but he himself has said nothing & when asked has said it was a joke. The cause seems to be that he is marrying the Ghisti's? daughter & thus into a lower caste. He is consequently a little ashamed of himself & afraid of being laughed at -- so he keeps it dark.
