Had to change at Moghal Serai @ 1.30 a.m. Pleasant! The Punjab Mail was on time (2.10). Slept in ???penney numbers??? to Dinapore where we were on "on turns" (6.7). There was a ???Phaetan??? at the station - which I had asked Lamount to send down - so I was spared the joys of a "Tikker".
Found that Lamount had departed to the hills; ???Sovatton staying a couple of days on his way ??? also. T Pengulley??? ???(2/Lt 8th Middx Rgt exh/cpi 9th Msx rgt)??? in possession of Lamount's room.

Mail was in about 10.30.
