C.O. Inspection this morning. There was a great improvement in my kits when I went round the first time this a.m. The C.O. made no complaints.
Played tennis with Beach in aft. 4 sets on the stickiest days we've ahd! I lost them all (6-2, 6-4, 6-2) but I'm improving.
Johnson leaves tomorrow morning. [??] left this morning for a 3 month's signalling course at Kasauli [??]. So Edmonton will be quite deserted.

Johnson left at 5/0 this a.m. He is going to see Agra Delhi & Jaipur on his way to Bombay. He sails on the 15th.
Spent quite a long time writing home and writing up Diary & Accounts.
Mon. Aug 9
The 6th B Surveys are going to the Dardenelles! [???] who has just come from Jalapahar says that the [???] office there say that there will not be a single territorial soldier in the planes next October. Some will go home, the rest will relieve Regulars on the [??]! It seems a train there to be movement of some sort.
I got a laconic chit from to-day. "The C.O. has detailed you to conduct the party of 20th Cos' and men to Bombay. Will you come and see me tomorrow Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in please" [???]
