The buildings at Luek now are all of a low type and except for the Jame Masjid??? none that we saw attracted us to close inspection. They fire them up too with absurd wax and paper invitations of Tamels??? and things which no one wants to see. But one forgives everything for the historical associations of the Residency???.
Dinner in the evening was enjoyed- though there were only 8 of us. Conversation turned to all sorts of subjects from German atrocities to the Terriers Concert Party. But we didn't have the table till 10/30.

Got up rather early this morning as we had to catch the 9/12. It was in to times??? and kept time all the way. Miles of the country but we got to Moghal Serai were flooded to 283 ft.
We changed at Moghal and had tea there. Onward to Dunapore there seemed to have been considerably less rain and consequently floods were at a heavy discount.
At 7.5??? we got back to Dunapore once more in the usual way had to come up from the station in a beastly Ticea Gori. However one reaches one's destination. Even in that.
