Fri. 16. Jul. Kept quiet this morning as I was a bit off colour. Went out in a Rickshaw in the afternoon - just into the town & back. Sitting out tonight we could see the stars??? from the hote. It really was fine???. We sat watching them & the sun set till almost dark - & dinner time.
Sat. 17. Jul. Feeling rather better to.day. Went into the town again in the a.m. & did some shopping. Came back via Vincent Hill. Slept after Lunch. Went down to the Rink Theatre Sat. 17. Jul. at 5.0 to the last performance of "the Terriers". They ahd a jolly good house - quite full, except for a few boxes - and for a very good reception. see pp36.7. By the time we got back there was no time for anything but Dinner. The ride back was quite exciting as our courties insisted in passing everything else on the road!
Sun. 18. Jul. Lamont afflicted with a boil??? to.day, so slacked through the morning. Wrote quite a bit. Did a pretty long walk in the evening.
