Wed June 23] S.S. office after Brekker. Then at 10/30 started issuing shirts & socks to the Company. Got it done in 1/2 an hr. At Riding School tonight we had a nasty new order. - "Ride Halt" They halt. "Dismount" They dismount. "OFFSADDLE" the remove the saddle & place it in the ground behind the horse in a convenient place for him to kick it. "MOUNT!" with some difficulty they mount & discover that a horse has a bone in his back which is anything but a comfortable thing to sit on. "WALK!" No worse than the Halt bit. [Wed June 23. "TROT" "oh heavens!" However we all stuck but we were quite glad to get "HALT" DISMOUNT and "ON SADDLE"

Distinctly sweaty! Went up to the S.S. Officer & back & then proceeded to write letters. Played Tennis with ???. Had quite good sets. One??? can play till nearly 7.0 now so there is not much doing afterwards
