226 Tue June 1 Higgins & I managed it alright though when we did it at the Trot Higgins very nearly disappeared over the other side! Wed June 2 96 def 80 de mid S.S. office first then Company work. At 10.30 I took some of my N.C.O.'s. They are having an N.C.O. exam & I was doing a little coaching.

We started jumping in the Riding School tonight. I did manage to keep more or less in the saddle every time. Lionel Hewlett went right forward on to his gus' neck once but didn't come off.

Mrs B???? caused an ???? tonight. No one with a ?? of less than 200. It's pretty stuff! 96 deg 81 deg .06 in. Thur June 3 Talked to the N.C.O.'s for an hour again this morning.

Wrote vigorously. The usual Thursday pursuit.

Tennis at 5/30. It was quite warmish playing.

Beach got back about 7.0. He was quite full of the hills. Some of the photos he bought are absolutely gorgeous. It seem to be ??? and they were more on a larger scale with snow on the peaks. Consequently ??? one is above the clouds before he had been back an hour we all felt quite jealous.

Hickling & I got the drawings finished off tonight. The C.O. is going to have them dug now. More work for "A" Corps.
