The mails are starting to go overland again according to an announcement this week. They start as follows

Leave London June 11 Arr Bombay June 26 Arr Dunapore? June 28 Bombay June 8 London June 21 and after July 4 they will leave Bombay on Sundays.

We were treated to a weird sight last night. I??? ??? lightning behind the clouds for about an hour -- no thunder. It was rather weird but quite fine.

There was quite a huge crowd at the Riding School tonight watching. viz C.O. Major. Major & Mrs. Vickers & Mrs. Hewlett. However no one took a toss for their benefit.

So far I am alone in my glory.

Marwood left last night. He has been appointed to the 33rd Signal Company at Banion?? on P????. It will be better for him as it will be his own line.

The old "A & C: companies changed bungalows to-day in preparation for the double-corp sytem which starts tomorrow.
