We have been asked to-day to detail 1 offr. 1 sgt. 3 cpls & 23 men to reinforce the Norfolks in the Persian Gulf. That means 3 more men out of "A" Co.
Played Tennis in Eve with Lamont Williamson & Higgins.
Fri. Apr. 23.
Volunteers galore for the Gulf. Believe they are sending Fisher as the subaltern. Parades as usual.
195 [Fri. Apr. 23 Pp Thunderstorm of some last night. Consequently it is much cooler today - only about 94. It was 102 yesterday.

Toovey came a nasty sropper from his horse this morning. Apparently he was just leaving the S.S. Office when his pony shied at the Bn. Water Cart reared & dropped him off. Result, he hit his head on a brick and has a slight concussion. He was baddly stunned when he was was picked up. He is going on well.

Knocked a hockey pill about with Lamont in the eve. At about 5.30 Lamont got "ticked off" by the Provost Sgt. (Goggins) for not having a Topee on! Club in eve.
