172 Wed Mar 24 At 10.0 the General & the rest of the Offrs turned up & there was a pow-wow. The Gen seemed very pleased with the Battn's work during the 3 ays Kitchener Test. He said that "The Ba. is well commanded, I might almost say exceptionally well commanded & the officers are keen & seem to know their job." That from money is worth having. All our people were awfully pleased. He had not an adverse criticism to make except "Minor faults which all Company Commanders will have noticed & will of course put right."
Just after I got back to my bungalow I had a chit from Sowerwell??? to the effect that I was o be O.O. for the day. Went in to see Jackson at 11.30. Dinners 12.30.
