At Mess tonight two Rumours. 1. That the Reserve come out very soon arriving here about the middle of April. The troopship will then ??? & take us back to the Front! I wonder. 2. More than a rumour. The isolated (only) are going to camp on Wednesday. It is not definitely settled yet but it is suggested by the B??? office. If that is so it means poor Beach will have his leave cut short again which will be dirty rough luck. He was hauled back early at Xmas of course because of the C.O.'s accident. Tue Mar 2 The isolated spent the day "dipping" blankets again. I went out with the No. 4 doing J.D. on the Race Course. The results were extraordinary. It is horribly difficult to get hold of Ranges out here.

Went to the club just after 5.0. Our band was playing there. They are playing jolly well nowadays.
Played quite a bit of Badminton to-night. I started with two singles with de Vesian both of which I won, then several sixes & one eight.
Arranged to go to Benares tomorrow ngiht with Cotton. We hope only to stay the day, coming back about 8.0, arriving here 6 am on Friday. Camp has not been settled yet.
