202 Mon Dec 28 ] Must have gone into the drain upside down because it couldnot presently turned over. Ofcourse we didn't see all this happen. We just saw the horse bolt & saw the effects afterwards. We carried on (as a matter of fact I was the first to say domp so ) We marched off independentely and & dismissed. I went back to see what more had happened. The C.O. had gone inside the Telegraph office. When we passed before he was sitting on the steps. It was the band who picked him up. He cut his head rather badly & broke two ribs. The gummers were trying to get the horse up when I owned. I did not see them do it.
