Sun. Dec. 27. Church Parade had been altered to 11.0. This means Battu??? parade at 10.30 & Coy??? ditto at 10.0. Unfortunately it also means that there is very little time to do anything between Church & Lunch. After Lunch I tried the Piano & continued to try it till Tea Time at 4.0. pm! It is quite a ???. Made by Spencer whom I have never heard of. It has a sort of "Grand" tone about it which is reather fine. Morrell was with me all the 197 [Sun Dec. 27 time, singing most of it! Ater Tea I went down to the Club & played Badminton til it was time to dress for dinenr. After Dinner more music.
this mornings parade was Gymn.??? We paraded at 6.45 & marched up. It was rather a problem looking after so men in a Gymn??? with no one to help me. Still we managed alright. I only did bars & horse. Tried longwarp??? splits & long jumps After easier things. Being orderly officer as well as O.C. "A" Coy??? I had rather an exciting day. Directly Gymn??? was over I left the Company to march back on their own & went off to see Victoria Barracks Breakfasts. Finished aht about 8.20
