Had 3 fairly strenuous sets of tennis in the aft. The first was a single with ??? He won the first set, I won the second. Then we had a double with ??? & ??? won. Went back to the mess for tea then slacked.

Paraded at 8.50 on our own Parade Ground. We drew 20 rounds of armor ??? & then sized. At 9.10 we moved to the ??? Parade Ground (v12 The Hockey Field at Victoria Barracks.)
We take our time here by a gun which is fired usually at 12.0 but on Sundays it goes at 9.15. It varies daily according to the ??? the gunner consumes on the night before. Today it jerked back about 10 mins. Consequently we had to hang about on the ??? parade ground for about 20 mins, before we could move on to church. We actually moved about 9.50. It seems rather weird going to church with rifles & ??? This has been the custom since the ??? I think. Racks are provided at church for the rifles. The church is rather like a Greek Temple. The chaplain preached quite a good sermon.
After church I slept most of the day as I was feeling a little off colour but I got up for Mess in the evening.

Orderly officer today. The orderly officer here has rather a busy time. The day starts with a visit to the ??? to see breakfast at 7.30. As the 3 cookhouses are ??? at intervals though
