Sat Dec. 5 The scenery after Jubbulpore?? was a decided improvement on yesterday. It was much more wooded though the trees are usually straggly not in clumps or plantations. Also there are a few hills about. Jubbulpore?? itself is 1680 ft up which explains why it was somewhat cold last night. We finished our breakfast at Katmi?? & there the men got a hot meal & hot tea. They were very happy when we pushed off from there at 12.55. I did not have any Lunch but I got some tea at Sutna?? at about 3 o'clock. 6?G? companies got tea there. A & C & specialids?? did not get theirs till Manekpur??? at about 6.30.
