On the ??? side of the deck. Then ??? company was reduced to about 35 as we were providing guards. About 1.15 I lfet ??? in charge and went down to lunch. He went when I returned – about 1.45 At 2.30 leave was given to officers to go ashore. So I passed over the company to Hickling once more & went with Beach Ports & ??? We took Sgts Balis ??? with us & invaded a shop that was a young Junior & Army Navy store to buy stuff for the Coy. I came back with that (& the 2 sgts) about 3.40. Hickling went ashore then with ??? who was on guard & whom I relieved.
One is now ??? ashore by 4 niggers in a very ??? tub. They do quite a lot of work but they don't know much about rowint. Therefore for us was 4 arm as single, 6 return.
I was on guard from 4-8. So at 8 I made straight for bed.

4.am on guard again.
I discover that have not ??? the ??? yesterday. About 4.30 yesterday aft. The order came through to dismiss. It appears that the Lancashire & Scottish ??? who are here did not expect the ??? till Dec 12. They were apparently intended to go to Barabay with us & to come back. So at present no one knows quite what will happen. They may ??? or they may not. Of course
