Q topping June day, rather the warm side at midday.
We went out for a ??? march by Companies in ??? today. So A Coy went right up ??? highest point. We went first to Pr. Then we saw several of the German prisoners. They all looked happy & I believe they are treating them better then our own men – just like the British Government. They are looking better whereas our fellows only get margarine.

It is simply grand, the walk there. It is a sort ??? senses of rock gardens – only no flowers, only plants. In many places the hedges overlay the road. There are not hedges actually as we know them, they are rather lines of trees.
The Spanish coast too looked absolutely great. The colouring one gets here are absolutely marvellous.
We came down past the old moorish castle: and past what are practically gobs waterworks. They have no springs here so they have combined several of the irregularities the rock over. So as to give the rain ?? free run. ??? in which it is collected.
