averted the threatened danger. We reached "Mooresfort" safely about 5.15. Nellie came home about 7.0. We went out (after saying Good-bye to A. Alice & U. Harry) to see the Firestones???. Stayed there about 1/2 hr then made tracks for home. Caught a bus to Richmond which landed us there just in time to catch the 9.0 District for Turnham Green. Caught another train there at once for Ealing Common where the train that followed ours in was a S. Harrow one. Caught a bus home about 9.40.
Went all the way to Solthis??? Church & then backed up.

More farewell visits today. Went to Harlesden by the 9.58. Saw A. Rhoda && Flo then on to A. Lizzie back again to Mrs Scott: after a flying visit to Mrs Fry. Got to Willesden Green Station after all this at about 12.10. Phoned to Ted to tell him we would like to look in this aft. Then we went via Baker St the new escalator & the Bakerloo to Trafalgar Square. Had lunch close by at the Golden Cross. This was not as successful as it might have been. However.
