Fri Aug 14 - went over to Stevens this morning but told him I did not feel up to "Gas"??? so he advised me to wait till tomorrow on Monday.
Lazed in apt. walk in eve.
News nothing very great: though in what's happening Germany seems to be having the worst yet.
Sat. Aug 14 Dentist again this morning. More Gas. Missed one tooth & two stumps (that he didn't finish on Wed) after he had finished operation. I had come round when he was getting the last one and my word??? -?
Lazed in aft.

went to the Queen's Hall with Palertino ??? eve. He has gone into a Season Ticket Circle and gets one Concert a week. Tonight was the first of his nights & the first night of the Concerts. The Programme was very good & very patriotic! We started with "God Save the King." The orchestra & organ were "going it" for all they were worth but they didn't succeed in drowing the audience! Then there was the Marseillaise & God bless the Prince of Wales. After that we got to business with Mackenzies overtures.
