we climed Arthurs Seat, and my word it did blow at the top! You could lean your whole weight into the wind & yet stand. Unfortunately it was rather misty again today. We saw the Forth Boje???. by the way the Forth is under military control now entirely. No pleasent steamers! From Arthur's Seat we walked back to the Bridges & had lunch at The Green Cafe, 1/ : and the best 1/- worth we have had in Scotland! Then we went back to the Hotel where we found a telegram awaiting. "Wallace leaves for Portsmouth to day shall you come home Nellie" Father at once decided "yes" & I must say I agree. So off we went to Cooks to see if they could cancel

the rest of the tour. They said they could, so we wired home "Returning shall arrive home tomorrow about 10 PM Findlay". Then we had a run on the train to ??? & back. After dinner we searched off to the Ryceum to see "The Gundoliens"??? by the D'Oyley Carte Opera Co. It was awfully good, but the Scotch certainly haven't a sense of humor. They didn't laugh a bit really! Back to hotel & bed. Packed tonight as we leave at 7.45 tomorrow.

Caught the 7.45 from Edinboro' to York arrived there about 12.40. Had lunch & then went to the minister. Had a good look round that. It is a lovely
