7.15. Unearthly hour at which to have to get up. However as one doesn't go to Scotland every day it is not so noticeable as it might be. A few finishing touches in the packing time and down to Brekler??? at 8.0. Left for the station at 8.40 & on my way called at Eastman's for my coat which is being cleaned. It hasn't come so I arranged for it to be sent up to Edenborough. We left Harrow Met by 8.56. And wandered through the subway at Veny's??? + to the Mauri??? Station. After fruitlessly searching the 9.50 for seats we found that a special for Newcastle was leaving at 9.55. Our seats were on that alright.
