We reached the bivvy @ 9.0 pm.Transport was soon unpacked & people were comfy. About 9.30 they served out hot ??? and bully. It was tea. I had 5 cups! It was hot and seemed a vast improvement on the usual camp stuff. Perhaps we were hungry!

we were right on stop of HQ. As a matter of fact we heard all the orders for to-morrow as they were given out to the offrs. I erected a ???Bybie??? (minus the spring) to mark the site of HQ. It was ordered that a signaller should be on duty all night by the lamp to receive any reports &c There were 5 of us to work the 4 hours which meant about 40 min each.
