Trinity provided some excitement. Merton bumped Balliol, but Oriel bumped them immediately after. All three stopped: but Balliol cox seeing the other two had stopped rowed on. Trinity however came up & caught them claiming 3 bumps. The OUBC however gave Merton the bump. Others remain as they were.
Wed. May 27.
Robbie got our Rackets from Hovendons to-day. So we went up to the courts to try them till 4.30. Then Robbie & I went punting. Kitty was also present. The first go bumped by Merton opp. Rough's where second were bumped early by Cat's Owing to Saxton's catching a crab. Rough luck! Got out of the squash quickly & were first at Harris's as we have been almost every day.

Paraded at 1.30 for Rehersal for O.T.C. Inspection tomorrow. Got back about 4.30. The inspection is to be a wierd affair. The cavalry mess about then the infantry march past in lines of companies & quarter column: then cavalry & artillery do a trot & a gallop: then the whole advance in review order.
