Thur. Mar 26]
yesterday. It was like riding over a ladder! and I took it fairly fast in places. However "There 'tis!"
Fri. Mar. 27
Went up to the office with Pater via Gorringes where I bought a plate cup & saucer of Booths with which he was immensely taken. Fortunately I picked the right pattern from his description.
At the office I did some work in the Semite's Gazette which I took back to school at 12.15. I saw Peter who was very nice (as usual) He promised to let me see some Theol. papers if I go up again this term.
[Fri.Mar. 27]
Saw Davies. He is to be married next Tue. fortnight. He asked me "to play them out" supposing a man they have asked cannot turn up.
Saw Sgt. Maj. Cheery as ever. The section competition is on today and there is considerable doubt as to who will win it.
Promised to turn up at a Sig. training at Cassiobury Pk. to morrow. Went back to the office at 2.0. Set to work on Paters Bank acc £60 out at 6.0 pm. So I had to shut up to catch the 6.18 at Farringdon St.
