Friday Mar 13.

Plato in a.m. Paper quite moderately easy.

Don-rag 12.45. Sidney Pill: - "Well yes I think Mr Findlay has always done his best!" A very doubtful compliment. However after a casual enquiry about my hopes of passing Mods he proceeded to enquire what I intended to read next term. I remarked that I was undecided whether to take Theol or Orients???. Result Burnley requested the honour of my presence at 6.0.

Unseens in aft. Lovely. Finished in 50 min.

Burnley at 6.0. Out when I arrived. Mrs B. wandered in and

informed me he would not be long. About 6.5 he arrived. I expected him to go into the Pro's & Cons of Theol v Orientals: but not he! After unconsciously leading he to believe I intended to take Orientals first and after he had commenced giving me vac work, I told him I thought I would do the other thing. Acc. he suggested I should read Wade. O.T. History & Rackham Acts.

Saw Pullan after Compline and arranged to see him further about work at 6.0 tomorrow. Did a little Livy and Tacitus Subject Matter in the evening.
