Thur. Dec. 25

I got to Church about 5.50 "And the stars were shining brighty" Thermometer somewhere about 30°!! However the Hymns 59 & 58 were sung with much zest despite the hour. The last hymn was down as 558 but Kate had been busy & scratched off the first 5 from the Vicar's paper so that while I was ready to play 558, he announced 58. So 58 it had to be. I played Carols during the Communion.

Went and helped at Greenhill at 10.0 as Miss Moores was away I had my old class to look after.

Pater looked in at Church for me & we caught the 10.39 for Willesden Gn. for St. Andrews. The service was very nice but the music too elaborate for my liking.

We had a lazy aft. after Turkey & Pudding. Went for a walk with Pater after Tea. In the evening the Cruikshanks came round so we had a nice chat till about 10.30 when we all departed to bed.

Friday Dec. 26

Commonly known as Boxing Day.

Went for a walk with Pater in morning via Cunningham Pk & Pinner Road.

In aft. we had a sort of party. Uncles Jim & Wallace, Aunt Rhoda, Frank & Geoff & Mr. & Mrs. Wright & Bert came. We chatted & played cards, ate & had some music finally packing them off home by the 11.18 from Kenton.
