Thur. Dec. 18

Upper circle of his Majestys. The play was "Joseph & His Brethren". Just about 5 mins. to 8. Pater & Mater appeared. They had seats 2 from us in the same row. It was a most peculiar coincidence. They had no idea what part of the house we were going into. Pater booked by phone the morn. It was a funny piece of luck to get so close. We got the people between us to change so that we were all four together. ???DIAGRAM???

The play was excellent. Tree as Isaac had little to do. _The_ part of course was Joseph which was splendidly acted. The whole production was fine and the scenery about as true to the original as it was possible to get, I should think.

We just caught the 11.46 at L.St home in spite of a crawling Motor Bus.

Fri. Dec. 19

Left Woodford & the Dixons today. Caught the 11.8 to L.St. Went to the Paters & out to lunch with him & Johnnie Jenkins at the Gray's Inn Larder This was a new place to me, but is very nice. It has had the Pater's allegiance?? since they changed the Birkbeck Cafe from Restaurant to Tea Shop.

Wandered off to Hughes & Co. in the aft. & collected the slides I bought last Sat. Then waited in the office.
